Located in the Kebena Forest, Kossa Geshe is a farm established as a land grant in 2009 to help safeguard Ethiopia's remaining dense forests. Owner, Abdul, began running the farm in 2016. In 2018, his coffee won a Good Food Award — one of the first coffees out of the west to earn the distinction. The sourcing organization, Crop to Cup, were fascinated with Abdul’s coffee quality and its cup characteristics; they have sourced his beans since that first 2016 harvest.
Abdul continues to prove his coffee stands up against the best in the business. This natural processed coffee produces typical Ethiopian fruitiness, yet is very complex, and nicely structured.
