Tunia is the name of the community that is a part of Piendamo which is the center of Cauca, Colombia. This community is a well recognized origin for amazing and complex coffees. There, a large farm named “Las Brisas” produces this Castillo coffee that requires a very demanding protocol for the correct picking of ripe and over ripe cherries. It then goes through the traditional process of washed coffee but with the detailed attention of one of the most advanced farmers in Colombia- William Benitez.
This NEW Colombian coffee- Tunia Castillo is a very juicy and refreshing coffee starting out with a citrus-y lime taste on the front end, ending with a sweet yet bright finish! This coffee can be enjoyed hot or iced, and it’s complexity satisfies coffee enthusiasts on either side of the spectrum. We personally love its bright personality with pops of juicy goodness for a refreshing and sweet summer coffee!
