Rosita Villamaria

Rosita Villamaria is a semi-washed Colombia bean from the pink bourbon varietal. Pink Bourbon is a rare and coveted find. A hybrid of Red and Yellow Bourbon, this varietal stands out in every way — from the striking pink color of its ripe coffee cherries to the sweetly complex flavor of its beans. Bourbon coffees often yield a reduced crop and are not resistant to coffee rust or disease. However, coffee enthusiasts revel in their unique flavors and farmers do whatever is possible to continue producing such a variety.

To grow pink bourbon consistently, special care is taken to isolate the seeds and hand-pick them the moment they ripen and ready to harvest. Specialty coffees require specialty care.
